Picture the project as a sequence of decisions. You can build a more useful calendar once you know who owns the next one.
Before design begins
Agree on who will use the home, which outdoor spaces matter and how you will assess cost. Collect property records and schedule the site visit.
While the plans take shape
Choose a layout, confirm the scope and assemble the submission package. Keep a dated record of questions from reviewers and the person answering each one.
As construction approaches
Use the builder’s agreed schedule to track selections, work windows, deliveries and inspections. Reserve time for the final walkthrough, corrections and handover documents.
